Tinkerbell lipstick and nail polish set, the perfect gift in the '80s and '90s. |
As a little girl in the 1980s, I loved Tinkerbell brand makeup. Tinkerbell cosmetics were pretty, youthful and made me feel all grown up.
The nail polish was easy to remove -- once applied, you could simply peel it off each finger. I believe I had the perfume, lipsticks and nail polish. I would keep my makeup in my Jordache purse.
Any '80s or '90s girls remember Tinkerbell makeup?
I loved the bright Tinkerbell colors and the distinct scents. |

i LOVED tinkerbell makeup! i used to sit in whatever department store and inspect every single box on the display while my mom shopped!
I don't remember that, but then again as a boy I shouldn't. lol
A relative got me some for Christmas once but I think it was in the late 1970s. I could be wrong about that though - maybe it was 1980 or 81. I can't believe that I forgot about this. Thanks for the reminder!
i have vivid memories of my DAD painting my tiny nails with tinkerbell pink on christmas morning. he wasn't too thrilled when i peeled it all off an hour later...
As soon as I read your title I was thinking, is this the peel off nail polish? I totally remember using this. One fond memory in particular, my friends and I had built a blanket fort on their covered front porch on a rainy summer day. We spent the house painting, peeling and repainted each other's nails. It was so fun!
My daughter had this and I was so anal about her making a mess, I wouldn't let her use it. It's still around here, somewhere.
I never saw this! I love Tinkerbell.
Um my sister had that and I um never tried it. BTW...made you blog of the day.
Tinkerbell makeup was awesome. The nail polish was always my favorite.
loved loved loved!
I don't remember Tinkerbell products specifically, but I do remember being obsessed with make-up! I wanted to do my nails and make-up every chance I got, which wasn't often. I looked like a clown that got caught in a rainstorm every time, but...it was still fun!
When Alicia said she peeled the polish off- I was whooshed back in time. I knew I recognized that lipstick case with the little hearts all over it! I can see it now, where I kept it, opening a small drawer to see it against the pink satin lining of my pretty little ballerina jewelry box.
I painted everything with that polish, including that jewelry box.
I think I'd sell a kidney to get a bottle of Tinkerbell perfume these days. Having said that, it probably just smelled like washing up liquid.
My sister and I had some, though I think the lipstick made my lips dry out so I gave it to my sister...all I know is that kids need it now
