Acid Washed Jeans from the '80s

Acid wash was a fashion
staple in the 1980s.
When it comes to 1980s styles, I'm embarrassed to admit that I actually liked parachute pants. A few years later, acid washed jeans became super popular. Acid wash was an effect created by washing denim jeans with pumice stones and bleach.

Usually a fan of whatever was in style at the time, I honestly don't think I owned one pair of acid washed jeans. I just wasn't a big fan. Acid wash was one style I was happy to say goodbye to.

I remember classmates rockin those jeans with their LA Gear hi-tops.

Good times. I myself had a pair of parachute pants. I was the white MC Hammer.

I think my mom and I had matching pairs of the Guess acid wash jeans in that picture! Why we wore those things...I have no clue!

You won't be the least bit surprised to hear that I still have numerous pairs of acid washed jeans in my house, will you?

Oh, eww! You really bring back the memories - of both good things and bad! (these would be one of the bad things.) Putting on a pair of these is like putting on 10 extra pounds in appearance. :) I think I'll scream if they come back into style...

I have to admit I rocked a pair or two of acid washed jeans (one gray, one blue) during my college years. They were pretty comfortable.

Oh yeah cringe I had acid washed jeans too. Black and blue. I thought I looked good. :D

My only pair of actual "acid washed" jeans fell apart quickly. Had several pairs of their slightly differently treated cousins, "stonewashed" and loved those.
